Dr. Debadyuti Das, currently a Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi since 2013 has been with FMS since 2007. Prior to that, he served the Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for more than nine years. In addition, Prof. Das gathered varied experience in the industry in different capacities and in different areas including Production, Quality, Project, World Class Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, etc. Prof. Das holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Management from IIT BHU, Masters in Industrial Engineering & Management from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad and Bachelors in Textile Technology from Calcutta University. His areas of specialization include Production & Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management for Healthcare, etc.

His current areas of research include Distribution Network Design in Public Health, Creating Shared Value, Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Managing Food loss and waste in food supply chain, Sustainable Sourcing and Efficient Distribution of Water etc. Interestingly, Prof. Das has made a significant contribution in research in as diverse areas as Sustainable Supply Chain, Distribution Network Design in Public Health, Sustainable Tourism, Performance Evaluation of Development Projects, Optimization of Power Procurement, etc.

Prof. Das has a significant number of papers to his credit in journals of repute including both national and international ones. Some of the journals include Journal of Cleaner Production, Int. Prof. Das has conducted training programs in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Project Management, Decision Making, etc. for both middle and senior-level executives. He has also been invited as a resource person to conduct training programs for Management teachers in AICTE-sponsored QIP on Supply Chain Management and Value Chain Analysis etc. He has undergone highly sought-after programs like Global Colloquium on participant-centred learning, Case Writing and Course Development conducted by Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. In addition, he also attended a Case Teaching Workshop at Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and a Case Development Workshop in the field of Public Administration and Governance conducted by DARPG, India and UNDP, New Delhi.

Sivakami is a Professor at the Center for Health and Social Sciences, School of Health Systems Studies (SHSS), Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. She was also the Chairperson of the Centre for Health and Social Sciences, one of the four centres in SHSS, between June 2015 to June 2021. Before joining TISS, she was an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore. Sivakami joined TISS in 2010 as Associate Professor.

Sivakami broadly works on the intersection of Gender, Health and Demography. She was trained as a quantitative researcher and has vast experience conducting large-scale surveys like GATS, NFHS and DLHS. Over a period of time, she has also gained experience in conducting qualitative research studies. More recently, most of her research involves a mixed methodology approach. She has published widely in peer-reviewed national and international journals such as the Lancet, BMJ Global Health, BMJ Open, Journal of Global Health, Journal of Biosocial Science, Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters (SRHM), Asian Population Studies, Health Transition Review, Economic and Political Weekly, Demography India and Sociological Bulletin amongst others.

Currently, Sivakami serves as an Academic Editor at PLOS Global Public Health and was a member of the Editorial Board for the journal BMC-Women’s Midlife Health. She is a member of the Ethics Committee at the ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai. She has received research grants from major national and international funding organisations, including the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, ICMR, UNFPA, UNICEF, MRC (UK), ESRC (UK), and NIHR (UK). Sivakami was awarded the "Linnaeus-Palme Fellowship" in 2015 to visit Karolinska Institute, Sweden. She was also awarded a “Global Spotlight International Research Seed Grant” 2014 from the University of Minnesota, USA. Sivakami was a recipient of the Dr C. Chandrasekaran Award in 2000 for the best paper (titled “Does Maternal Employment Influence Child Care and Morbidity? Evidence from Poor Populations”) presented by a young demographer at the Millennium Conference on Population Development and Environmental Nexus (XXIII Annual Conference of the IASP held at New Delhi).

Sivakami has MA and PhD in Population Studies from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The title of her PhD work was “Mother’s Work Participation and Child Health: A Study in Poor Localities in Tamil Nadu, India”.

Dr. R. Nagarajan is currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Population and Development at the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai. Prior to joining at IIPS, he was a faculty at the Population Research Centre of Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. He obtained masters, M.Phil and Ph.D degrees in Population Studies from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. His research and teaching interest includes population and development, public health, gender and population ageing. He has published several articles on population and development aspects of India. Dr. Saswata Ghosh is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata (IDSK), where he also served as a Demography and Population Health Expert at the Centre for Health Policy (ADRI), Patna. His expertise spans production and operations management, supply chain management and healthcare supply chains.

His current research interests include distribution network design in public health, creating shared value, sustainable supply chains, food loss and waste, and sustainable sourcing and distribution of water. Prof. Das has published widely in reputed international and national journals and regularly presents his work at leading conferences in operations and supply chain management.

He has extensive experience in executive training on supply chain management, materials management, project management and decision-making, and has attended global programs on participant-centred learning, case writing and course development at Harvard Business School and other renowned institutions.

Salim is a Professor of Economics at Tripura University (A Central University) in Agartala, Tripura. He also serves as the Coordinator and Head of the North Eastern Council (Govt. of India) sponsored Entrepreneurship Development Centre and Incubation Centre at the University. Additionally, he is associated with Antarpath Impact Consulting as a Research Consultant for health economics research and policy projects. Dr. Shah obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and has over two decades of teaching experience in Development Economics, Health Economics, and Economics of Social Sector. His research focuses on health, poverty, inequality, and state finances, with a particular emphasis on India’s Northeastern region. He has authored four books and published extensively in national and international journals. As a lead researcher, he has contributed to key policy documents such as Status of RCH for the Slum Dwellers in Agartala (NHM, Tripura), Evaluation of the State Finances of Tripura (2006–07 to 2016–17) for the Fifteenth Finance Commission, Govt. of India and Status of Policing in Conflict Region (Tripura) for LOKNITI-CSDS. His current research explores tertiary healthcare investment, displacement-led deprivation among tribal communities, and maternal health inequality.

Prof. Abhishek is Assistant Professor – Economics at FLAME University, Pune. He holds a Doctorate Degree in Economics from the Central University of Gujarat. He also has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Delhi.

He has over thirteen (13) years of work experience in both industry and academia. He was associated with the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi, and Genpact, Bengaluru. He has also contributed to several research projects funded by UNICEF, the 15th Finance Commission, Copenhagen Consensus Centre (CCC), ICSSR, Save the Children, NITI Aayog, and Tata Trusts.

His research interests include Development Economics, Health Economics, Econometrics, Population Health and Nutrition, Health Financing, and Program Monitoring & Impact Assessments.

Atrayee Choudhury is currently an Assistant Professor at National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, Delhi. She holds a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and prior to her Ph.D. she worked as a Senior Research Analyst at Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi. Her areas of specialization are public economics, regional economics, and economic geography, and her works are published in peer-reviewed international journals like Journal of Economic Asymmetries, Economic Modelling, European Journal of Political Economy and The Annals of Regional Science.

Debasis Barik is a Senior Fellow at the National Council of Applied Economic Research, India. He has been an integral part of the National Data Innovation Centre (NDIC) at NCAER, which conducts a series of experiments on methodological innovations in survey research. His research revolves around issues related to public health, demography, migration, gender, labour and social security. He holds a PhD in Demography from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai. He has worked extensively on large-scale data sets like IHDS, NFHS, NSS, Census, etc. He is an active member of various national and international organisations, working on demography and public health issues like the IASSH, IASP, APA, IUSSP, and PAA. He is a member of the Expert Group formed by the National Health System Resource Centre to institutionalise National Health Accounts estimates. He is part of the National Transfer Accounts working group formed by the UNFPA. He has been serving as an Associate Editor and Review Editor in some reputed international journals.

Dr T R Dilip is a demographer by training engaged in research and teaching on population and heath issues for over two decades. As a faculty at the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai , he is presently engaged in teaching demography and health economics and financing. Dr Dilip’s ongoing research projects are funded by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, ICMR-FORTE, WHO, and World Cancer Research International Fund. He has the experience of serving World Health Organization, Public Health Foundation of India, Centre for Development Studies, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and CEHAT.

Vaibhav Puri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi. He holds a doctorate from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi in the area of ‘Transport and Economic Development’. He has more than 10 publications across SCOPUS, Web of Science and ABDC Ranked journals. He currently serves as the member of Academic Panel and Editorial Board of 101st Annual Report Committee in University of Delhi. During his Ph.D., he also received the Young Initiative - II PhD Prestige Grant by World Conference on Transport Research Society’s, London, UK. He currently serves as the editorial board member for Journal of Business Thought (UGC Care Group 1 Listed and ABDC-C ranked journal) and regularly reviews for Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Heliyon – Cell Press and Green & Low-Carbon Economy journals. With over 12 years of work experience, he has taught courses such as Financial Economics, Econometrics, Money and Financial Markets, International Economics and Economic Development at undergraduate level.

Dr. Vandana Khaitan is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Operational Research, University of Delhi. Before joining University of Delhi, she also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Delhi Technological University for a short duration.

She did her Masters in Operational Research from University of Delhi, India. She was awarded CSIR-UGC Junior Research Fellowship. She received her PhD in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. She was also awarded NBHM Post-doctoral Fellowship.

Her expertise lies in Stochastic Modeling and Queueing Theory. Her current research interests include Applications of Queueing Theory and Stochastic Modeling in the Performance and Dependability Analysis of Stochastic Systems. She has published around 25 research papers in journals of international repute. She has also supervised three PhD students and two M Phil students, and is currently guiding five PhD students.

She is a Life member of Operational Research Society of India (ORSI). She is a Member of Editorial Review Board, Amity Journal of Operations Management. K. S. James is a distinguished demographer known for his extensive contributions to the study of India’s demographic changes, their social and economic implications, and the strengthening of demographic data systems. He is currently affiliated with the Centre for Health and Well-Being at Princeton University, USA. Previously, he served as Director and Senior Professor at the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai. He earned his Ph.D. in Demography from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and completed postdoctoral training at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies, USA. Over his career, he has held academic positions at premier Indian institutions, including Tulane University, USA, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore, and has played key roles in professional bodies. He currently serves as the President of the Asian Population Association.

James’s research has significantly shaped understanding of India’s demographic transition, with work spanning fertility decline, population ageing, gender disparities, and the socioeconomic consequences of demographic change. His scholarship highlights how demographic opportunities—such as the demographic dividend—are mediated by structural inequalities. He is also recognized for advancing the quality of India’s demographic data systems through his contributions to survey methodology, civil registration, and vital statistics. With influential publications in leading international journals and editorial roles, including co-editing the India Population Report, Prof. James continues to inform policy discussions on health, ageing, and inclusive development in India and globally. He has been a visiting fellow at several prestigious institutions and universities, including London School of Economics in the UK; the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria; the University of Southampton, UK; and the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.

Vinod B. Annigeri is Professor and Director, Centre for Multi-discilinary Development Research (CMDR), Dharwad, Karnataka. His core areas of interest include Economics of Education and Health. He has served as consultant for many national and international organizations. He has worked on research studies funded by Ford Foundation, IDRC Canada, DFID, USAID etc. He has to his credit some of the most pioneering studies relating to Health Accounts at the micro level. He played a key role in the formation of Indian Health Economics and Policy Association (IHEPA) where he served as Founder Joint Secretary for six years. He has many publications in reputed journals and has authored several books.

Amit Kumar Bardhan is a Professor at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. His research and teaching focus on operations management, data-driven decision-making, and healthcare analytics. He has published in leading international journals and actively consults and trains professionals in data science and evidence-based management practices.

Achin Chakraborty is a Professor of Economics and the Director at Institute of Development Studies Kolkata (IDSK). He was a visiting professor at Sciences Po, Paris, and was a CICOPS Fellow at the University of Pavia, Italy. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals including Economic Theory, BMJ Global Health, Social Indicators Research, Economics Bulletin, Journal of Quantitative Economics, and Environment and Development Economics. He co-edited three books – The Land Question in India: State, Dispossession and Capitalist Transition (OUP, 2017), Changing Contexts and Shifting Roles of the Indian State (Springer, 2019), and ‘Capital’ in the East (Springer, 2019). He has jointly authored the book Limits of Bargaining: Capital, Labour, and the State in Contemporary India (CUP, 2019).

Upasak Das is a Senior Lecturer of Development Economics at the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester, where he previously served as a Presidential Fellow (Academic) in Economics of Poverty Reduction. Before joining Manchester, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Penn Social Norms Group (PennSONG) at the University of Pennsylvania. He held faculty position as Assistant Professor at the Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Trivandrum after completing his PhD from Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai. His research interest revolves around norms and health behaviour, social protection programmes and education.

Soma Dey is a professor at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. Soma's broad area of research is applied microeconomics. She has worked on the R&D and patenting behaviour of electronics and semiconductor firms, healthcare expenditure in India, the role of MFIs in poverty alleviation in India and the impact of recent Government regulations on e-waste management. She is currently working on issues related to the Indian Pharmaceutical sector.

William Joe is Assistant Professor at the Population Research Centre, Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi. Dr. Joe has a PhD in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University with research interests in health economics and demography. He is engaged in research, monitoring and evaluation work for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India. Dr. Joe also leads the UNICEF-IEG collaboration on Anemia Mukt Bharat technical support activities for MoHFW. He is a member of the NITI Aayog working group on strategy for improving nutrition in India. He is also a member of the Technical Advisory Groups on Nutrition and Anemia for the Government of Karnataka, Government of Jharkhand and the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).

Dr. Sunil Rajpal is Assistant Professor – Economics at FLAME University. Currently, he is also affiliated with Geographic Insights Lab, Harvard University as Research Fellow. He is also a Research Professor at BK21 (Four R&E) Centre for Precision Public Health, Korea University, Seoul. He received his Doctorate Degree in Economics from Central University of Gujarat and was affiliated as an ICSSR Doctoral Fellow at the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi. He has completed MPhil in Economics from Central University of Gujarat, MA in Applied Economics from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi and his graduation in Commerce from University of Allahabad. Dr. Sunil has over two years of experience and was associated with IIHMR, Jaipur, Tata Trusts, A. A Patel Commerce College and Central University of Gujarat. Dr. Mala Ramanathan is faculty at the Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies, SCTIMST. She is a trained statistician-demographer and a medical anthropologist. She teaches on the MPH programme at AMCHSS and also in other institutions across India. She was an Ethics Fellow at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health in 2002-04 and since then has been part of the bioethics movement within the country. She is one of the Working Editors of the Indian Journal of Medical Ethics, a leading Bioethics journal published from India. She was also the Member Secretary of the Institutional Ethics Committee of the SCTIMST, Thiruvananthapuram from May 2014-Dec 2020.

S.K. Godwin is a Professor of Economics at Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, specializing in health economics, policy, and financing, with research on road traffic injuries, public hospitals, and user charges, holding PhD & MA degrees, and active in IHEPA.
